About Junior Sports Hub

Who We Are

The Junior Sports Hub (JSH) is a well-established charity dedicated to supporting some of our most disadvantaged, vulnerable, and isolated children and young people. Through structured sports programmes, mentoring, and community engagement, we help them realise their potential and feel empowered within a safe, supportive environment.

Our story began with a simple but powerful belief: every young person deserves a chance to thrive, no matter their circumstances. Over the years, JSH has grown into a trusted community hub where young people can learn, develop confidence, and build positive relationships that last a lifetime.

What We Do

At JSH, we use the power of sport to inspire, motivate, and promote healthy futures.

Our work includes:

  • Sporting activities and coaching for young people of all abilities
  • Youth support, including mentoring and confidence-building programmes
  • Community events and clubs to strengthen local connection and belonging
  • Accessible facilities used for sport, recreation, and community activities
  • Everything we do is centred on helping young people develop life skills, resilience, and ambition—both on and off the field.

How We Operate

We primarily obtain our funding by hiring out our sporting facilities, which allows us to reinvest directly into our programmes. However, this funding stream is limited, and demand for our services continues to grow.

Our Trustees are committed to thoughtful, sustainable planning that ensures JSH remains a strong, positive force within the Leeds community. With additional support, we can expand our reach, enhance our programmes, and offer even more opportunities to those who need them most.

Why JSH Matters

The challenges faced by today’s young people—social isolation, financial hardship, limited opportunities—can have a lasting impact on their future. JSH exists to bridge that gap.

By providing structured activities, positive role models, and welcoming spaces, we offer young people the tools to grow with confidence, stay active, and feel valued. Every session, every programme, and every conversation helps shape brighter futures.
